My earliest memories are of drawing with pencils and crayons. I was that kid in class that was always doodling little characters. As I grew, that never left me and I often got points taken off my math homework for doodling in the margins. While most children could find this distressing and move away from creative expression, I think these early interactions shaped my understanding that I do not fit in with those who cannot see stories on a blank page.
As I grew, my love for creative expression bloomed and I was hungry for everything I could try. As I pursued a degree in Graphic Design and Animation at Monmouth University, I was able to dive into and digest a multitude of creative mediums, ranging from fine arts to fully digital applications on the computer.
Quickly after graduation, I dedicated myself to working full-time in a design career to become an expert in my craft. As I matured in my career, I found myself inspired to design a work-life balance that not only allows me to be a better version of myself and take care of my mental health, but allows me to continue to foster my curiosity to continue to grow as a creative.
